Sago Palm Hotel

The staff, cleanliness, spacious rooms, rooftop pool and the lovely buffet breakfast. The location was near the town center. The hotel was quiet despite being on the main road. It was cozy and felt very private and safe.

There was nothing to dislike

The Sago hotel is a place that you fall in love with. The reception staff are friendly and make sure you are comfortable. There is a vibe of a family atmosphere at the hotel. The rooms are very clean and modern. The cleaners are friendly and do a great job. We had breakfast each morning, with a choice of Jamaican cuisine or various other things like omelets with different meat or vegan options. The hotel had a swimming pool, a gym and a health spa. The location is around the corner from the beach and the main life of Ocho Rios. I would recommend this hotel to anyone... 15/10

The only negative was there wasnt a balcony on the ground floor room.

Extremely expensive for what it offers. Slow service in the restaurant with no servers available at meal start times. Very limited breakfast options in the buffet, left to guess you can order alternative options. No pool bar, no umbrellas, very limited seating by the pool. Pool could be cleaner. Gym was filthy, with dirty mats, junk on the floor and none of the machines were working. Room had no windows. On top of accommodation costs they charge a $200 deposit on arrival, to be returned within a week of departure. I still haven't received my deposit back. The place has huge potential, but management need to put in a lot more work before charging these prices in good faith.
