An original Mount Buller ski lift tower runs through this hand-crafted two-bedroom cottage in Merrijig — three minutes from the Mt Buller gate, and a world away from everything else. Inside, curated ski memorabilia, rough-sawn timber, and warm textures tell the story of the High Country. Plush queen beds, French linen, a wood-burning heater, and a botanical bathroom with a deep bath, make sure you feel it too. Outside, the alpine region does the rest. Fall asleep to the river and frogs. Wake up to kookaburras. Step out to some of the best hiking trails in north-east Victoria — or simply stay put, fire up the terrace fire pit, and let the mountains come to you. Built and operated with intention: solar-powered, regeneratively run, and fully equipped for however you want to spend your time here. Steadyrack bike storage and a wash station on-site. Fully fenced. Parking available. Three minutes to Mt Buller gate.

The hosts have great communication and provide lots of advice and assistance. The property is definately "Unique" and "Quirky" with a bit of a handbuilt feel to it. It might not suit everyone, a few things might seem a bit rough around the edges, but it suits the vibe of the place and it suited us. Probably not good for young children.Merrijig is a convenient location, particularly for off-season travel, being halfway between Mansfield and Mt Buller made logistics much easier than if we stayed on the Mt. The bike wash area was great for us travelling with MTBs
