Stay in a Victorian room at the Historic Stone House Inn, a National Road inn since 1822. This room located on the 3rd Floor, rents as a suite with the Jackson Room. Bathroom is accessed from hallway. This room has 2 queen sleigh beds & flat screen cable television. Central heating is managed by the restaurant downstairs. Enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast. Upstairs accommodations may not suit guests with limited mobility. Restaurant hours vary from the Inn.

Everyone at the property was very friendly. I liked having a nice restaurant right down stairs from the room. The room was nice and clean and represented well in your listing. The only issue we had was we could not lock our door and actually the door knob came off in my hand! We tried to shut it tight enough for the code lock but we couldn't get it to shut enough to secure it. We didn't worry too much since we were the only people on the floor and we felt quite safe so we just didn't lock the room.

Loved the preservation of historic sites, people & events. A little awkward checking in and lugging in suitcases during the dinner rush. Room was comfortable-- thankfully, it was a cool night as we didn't see any air conditioner in our room. However, very basic amenities. Some simple enhancements could go a long way (ie no bright yellow extension cord under the area rug, some overhead lamps, shelf for roku box vs dangling from the cords). Overall, pleasant and accomodating lodging.

Stopped at the Stone House Inn after a day of winter hiking in Ohiopyle. Our group of 4 friends had an incredible experience at the inn- the location was convenient for traveling in Ohiopyle, and the rooms were cozy with some great history. Games and breakfast were provided, dessert at the restaurant was amazing, and we were so pleasantly surprised. We will absolutely come back!
