This place is really well located if you are driving up to Queensland and want an overnight stop. I rated it good rather than excellent because it's not a premium motel - but it delivers exactly what you want if you are looking for a pet friendly alternative that isn't overly expensive. All I was really looking for was a bed to sleep for the night. I would stay there again.

Comfy bed. Modern bathroom. Clean room.
AC would not work. Front door had no deadlock so with only one lock would be easy to break in. Advised by RSL staff to not walk around at night as not safe.

Room was basic. Well away from main road traffic. Bit noisy at times from room directly above. Some modernisation has been attempted but room is pretty dated but clean. Plenty of hot water and shower worked well - didnt leak out on to bathroom floor
Some weird refreshener smell in cupboard. Had to keep it closed because it permeated the room. Surrounded by long-stay caravan park which wasnt a good look
