Nature baths were cozy but might need bit of touchup. Food was very good and staff warm and welcoming local people. Room that we booked at the last-minute was very cozy and neat and good for one night stay after bottle of good wine with good food and sitting outside in the warm pool watching the northern lights float over the starry sky. Breakfast in the morning went past expectation. The skyr in the jar with the berry jam was amazing. And we got a visitor into our room in the morning, the local kitty 😺. Very friendly place and obviously popular by locals.
The artwork in the room served as awkward headboard, and in the middle of the night a woman started yelling and arguing and after that we did not fully fall asleep again. Thin walls. And we kept the window and door open because the room was very warm. Otherwise it was a really good time and the cat made our morning very cozy and special.

Staff were very nice and helpful, evening meal was good and a reasonable choice of food for breakfast breakfast. Room in the wooden annex was a decent size compared to the ones in the main block which are a bit cramped.
You have to pay extra to use the hot water spa.

The property was gorgeous, our dinner was delicious and the hot springs / locker rooms were fantastic.
We booked through booking. com and were unaware of all the extra charges. You had to pay extra for the hot springs and were expected to pay this fee each time you used them. (We stayed at several other locations and as a hotel guest were not charged to use the springs no matter how many times we used them). As for the staff, frankly they were not very welcoming. It felt as if they had an attitude like they were doing us a favor to help us. And be warned. The bed in our cabin was a full size mattress which was not at all comfortable for two older adults. Had we known the bed was so small we would not have booked this location.
