We were willing to spend extra because of the proximity to the slopes and beautiful online photos. When we arrived, the whole house smelled like gas and felt very hot. There was a carbon monoxide alarm going off. Turns out the broiler was on (likely for more than 4 hrs since we arrived at 8pm). This is likely due to an old stove in which a small turn of the knob causes it to turn on. This was very stressful since we had to open all the windows and doors and find fans to circulate the air and avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. This fiasco -combined with a potentially dangerous sharp screw sticking out of the master bath wall (in a high traffic area) where a toilet paper holder had been broken off along with an unreliable master bedside lamp that flickers every time you move in bed - made the whole experience subpar. For the price we paid, we would expect better. But for safety reasons, please fix the stove and the sharp screw in the bathroom. The foosball table was awesome. Also, there is an outdoor closet that is labeled for guests which would be a great place to store skis, but there was no key for this and the guest lockbox was empty. Instead we had to bring all equipment inside where there is not much space and makes for a wet drippy area when snow melts. Hope you can make this place better or lower the price.
