I liked the fact it was secure as a solo traveller, very clean & staff responsive with communication.
I would've liked to be greeted in person at some point during my stay as i have had in other experiences.

Fantastic air conditioning in Summer. Conveniently located by public transport and a good walking distance to the Vatican.

The location is good, near a metro and about 10 minutes walk from Vatican City/St Peters. Beds were comfortable and the shower and WiFi were excellent. There are various eating places close by and a bakers where you can get milk.
The major drawback is that no one is on site. If you arrive between 7pm and 8pm there is a 20 euro charge which increases by 50 euros if you arrive between 8pm and 9pm. This was not made clear before booking. The breakfast is prepackaged croissants and cereal plus Italian crisp bread. On the first morning there was a choice of Special K and Frosties but the Special K was not replaced and no croissants on the second day. There was no crockery or cutlery only paper plates and cups and plastic teaspoons. Some plastic knives did appear on the final day. Milk is only available from the coffee machine but there were plenty of teabags.
