Nos encantó el hotel. La comida riquísima, el staff excelente, el lugar increíble. Volveré pronto. Recomiendo alquilar el carrito para recorrer todo el lugar más fácilmente. Es demasiado enorme y mucho que caminar pero con el carrito se facilita todo. Nos encantaron los toboganes de agua para los niños. Excelente lugar

Riu Guanacaste was a lovely hotel to stay with family & friends by the beach. Food was really good in buffet - lots of choices, rarely disappointed. Actually enjoyed that more than the steak restaurant, which felt very rushed. Beach is lovely. Great waterpark with slides for bigger kids, splash park for smaller ones. Didn't use watersports, but you have a dive centre on site. Also a spa, which my wife and daughter enjoyed for a massage (extra charge). The room had optics to serve your own spirits! Plus a well stocked minibar. You are not near much else, so unless you are staying on site or doing organised tours, you probably want transport. Will definitely look at Riu again after this experience!
Although I signed up to be a Riu Class member, I wasn't able to arrange the complimentary transfer to the airport. I was told this was because I was taking a domestic flight. Seems crazy, as it was just my connection to then fly home to the UK! Booked a local taxi, which was cheaper than doing via hotel.

The towels were not white ..the brown towels are not it ..every other property has white towels that assures me their clean with bleach

Enjoyed the pool and beach
What we had an issue was a leak from the AC conditioner and my luggage got wet and didn't get to sleep well at all. The purpose for this trip was to relax and didn't get that at all in our stay with the leak occurrence happening at midnight. The last night we did get moved to a suite. Did not feel rested in our stay
