The location was excellent, and the view from the balcony was absolutely amazing. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything we needed. An unexpected bonus was the friendly mourning doves that joined us for meals overlooking the Acropolis. We never felt the need to visit a rooftop restaurant—we had one of the best views in Athens right from our own balcony!

The location was very good and Athena itself was a great choice for us. However, there were several things that could have been much better.
There was no breakfast, which we knew in advance, but the arrival process was unnecessarily complicated. Finding the keys required going to two different places and dealing with multiple boxes and codes, which was difficult after a long flight from the USA.
Unfortunately, the rooms were not clean when we arrived, which was a big surprise and disappointment. We had to find a way to contact the host and arrange for someone to come and clean the rooms. After traveling all the way from the USA, tired and sweaty, we then had to leave and walk around on a hot summer afternoon while waiting for the rooms to be ready.
One other thing we really don't understand is the use of sofa beds in vacation rentals. When you are paying $500+ for a room, you expect a proper, comfortable bed. In our opinion, guests on vacation should not have to sleep on a sofa bed. We would not recommend booking a room with a sofa bed for this reason.

The biggest improvement would be the sleeping arrangements. We really do not understand why vacation rentals use sofa beds when guests are paying $500+ per night. A proper, comfortable bed should be provided, especially when you are on vacation. We would strongly recommend replacing sofa beds with real beds.
Overall, better preparation before arrival, simpler check-in, and proper beds would make the experience much better.
