Great location, staff helped us book everything which was really helpful. Shoutout to Winni! Breakfast had a good selection and they picked us up from the airport as well.
Dinner wasn’t great, I’d eat at one of the local restaurants.

Fantastic location, right next to the Zhangjiajie NP (5min walking distance), 30-40mins away from the other main activities in the region (Tianmen mountain, canyon glass bridge, etc.) and away from the main city, slightly uphill.
The hotel isn’t brand new any more but it’s still well maintained and looks very cosy. Less than 20 rooms, so feels like a boutique hotel.
Facilities were good: pool table (brand new), pool, arcade games, washing machines.
And finally very helpful staff, especially wrt booking activities around. Easy to book through them ahead of your trip
The only thing i’d mention is the cleanliness of the swimming pool, which didn’t prevent us from swimming every day though. But it had lots of algae, which is kind of expected given the high temperatures we had at the time of our stay in July

Very, friendly staff. Nice pool, great room with comfy beds and a georgeous view. Free airport shuttle service. Walking distance to the Middle Gate entrance of the National Park, Max 10 min.
You can't find the right location for Avatar Mountain Resort in Google maps nor in DiDi. This should be updated.

It was spacious and the staff were very welcoming and good to communicate with. They offered a pickup from the train station and had a driver waiting for us which was nice.
The location wasn’t convenient as it was very far from everything and it takes 10/15 mins drive alone just to get back on the main road and then an extra 20/25 mins drive to the East gate of the national forest. The Grand Canyon and tianmen mountain areas were both 45mins-1hr away from the hotel. The room itself was quite outdated and there were bugs/insects everywhere which made it difficult to go out at night. Breakfast was meh but the staff were great and did their best so can’t fault them. It was on the more expensive side of hotels in ZJJ so I wouldn’t say it was great value for money. We ended up checking out early and booking a hotel in ZJJ centre closer to everything where we found it a lot easier to get around and find food places/things to do.
