It’s just a 5-minute drive from our house. Go swimming, the water is warm! From late spring to the early fall months it is usually around 70 degrees. Walk about five minutes to Lake Trail 40B, which leads to the beautiful, calm, clear, and quiet beach shown in the photos, about a 10-minute total walk from the house. Bring the backpack beach chairs! You can drive to Trailhead 47 and drop off your cooler and supplies. Trailhead 38 is a good parking area that is less steep overall. You are allowed to walk, swim, and fish anywhere around the lake trail except on the private docks or the areas of Tavern Bay and Burnt Mill Beach that state you may not. Take the owner-supplied access card and wristbands from Arrowhead Lake Association. A wealth of other activities are available on the lake, including Spa of The Pines kayak and pontoon boat tours, cruises on the Lake Arrowhead Queen, and high-speed excursions or lessons for water skiing, wakeboarding, and knee boarding with McKenzie's Water Ski School (guest emails and trip portal offers owner suggestions). During winter, visit the Snowdrift Snow Tubing Park, Snow Valley, and Sky Park at Santa's Village, which offers mountain biking, ziplines, ice skating, and the Alpine Slide with bobsled tracks. The natural setting is something special here, especially on the main deck off the great room. The gas grill and a new 80,000-btu firepit make this deck perfect for family gatherings.
