Lovely old building and grounds. Sun terrace and hot tub were lovely and relaxing. Great view over the bay. Nice big balcony. Warm welcome by staff.
Location. A little out in the sticks. Buses are hit and miss. We waited over an hour and nothing came even though timetable showed 3 in that time! Taxi was between 20-30 euros each way to the town centre. About a 10 min drive tops. Factor this in but you wont be disappointed!

I had a very enjoyable stay at Relais al Castello. The location is excellent, set on the hillside to the south of Castellammare di Stabia, where you can fully enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Vesuvius and the city below. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, especially if you appreciate scenery.
The reception team was warm, professional, and very well organized. I arrived quite late, but they had prepared a very clear and smooth self check-in process. I was able to get into my room in about five minutes, which made the late arrival completely stress-free.
Breakfast was very generous, with a wide selection of food, and whenever something ran out, it was quickly replenished. That level of attentiveness made the experience even better.
The building itself is full of charm and character. I especially liked the corridor staircase, which has a very distinctive old architectural style and gives the property a lot of atmosphere. At the same time, there is no need to worry about comfort, because the room interiors, decoration, and facilities are all very modern and well maintained.
When the weather is good, the terrace is the perfect place to spend the day relaxing and enjoying the sun. Overall, this is a property with both historic character and modern comfort, supported by a very capable and welcoming team.
