Beautiful grounds, amazing beach, affordable food, great staff.
The rooms are very tired & could do with investment & maintenance. The glass doors don’t work very well & the windows barely open. There are no screens so you have to have the A/c on. There was hot water & the fridge & kettle worked well. Not sure the curtains have been updated since the 70s… they kind of open & close

I liked that it was close to the beach/river which is kept clean together with the rooms/ surroundings. Central location to other activities. The staff were friendly, example the booking staff, lifeguards and grounds staff.
We were told that breakfast was available at the restaurant near the beach however when we got there, the facility was very very run down and even had a bad smell. There was no breakfast available really unless u call ahead for them to specially prepare. Also if u would like to have late lunch/dinner, it’s non existent in the property either. Several guests had to be dinning in other neighboring inns or establishment daily.
The rooms are a bit on the older side and could do with a few upgrades. E.g. the shower area. However overall the rooms were clean though, I must say. The suite was not conducive to enjoy the surrounding nature as compared to the standard rooms. They were ground floor and the outside area did not even have a seating area to relax outdoors and take in the fresh air/surroundings whereas the standard rooms had the upper floor/view with a patio and chairs. (Something to note) Although the suite did come with a living room area as compared to the standard. I guess that’s the trade off 🤷🏽♀️

Entrance to the property. Rooms need a face lift. Wall skirtings were messy from floor painting. Sliding doors did not work as they could not open.
