Have stayed before it's a very relaxed lovely place not far from Evora. About a 5 mins drive away.The pool was especially welcome as v hot.Owners are lovely. Very accommodating.

Quinta do Cano was exceptional. It would be a pleasure to stay here again, and if I am ever able to do a writing retreat this is where I would want to be. The Quinta is idyllic. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is wonderful, and it was nice to meet the other people in this small property. I would highly recommend this to any other travelers.
There is nothing that I didn't like. I wish that our planning had let us stay longer. The only issue we had was that there was one lounger that had wasps in it, but they were dealing with that.

location, rural but 10 minutes drive from evora, was ideal; attractive building set in gardens with large pool; interior full of character; good value overall
lack of air conditioning was a major problem; poor lighting in room, and even worse in the bathroom, which needed modernization; attitude of hosts was not particularly welcoming
