Location was perfect.
Beds were comfy
Utensils and crockery were plentiful.
Beautiful little cottage
Decor in places needed tlc
Road noise was not great at night we had to sleep with ear plugs.
Lights from cars flashed in master bedroom.
A few of the plates we found were dirty.

Happy Feet is excellently located, clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need for a good stay. A stones throw from the co-op, a great bakery, cafe and pub and so easy to get to the delights of Hope, Castleton, Hathersage and Tideswell. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms large and clean with lots of hot water and good pressure.
Communication with Dan was excellent.
I’m being really picky….The dining table is a great size but it’s a bit tight for 6 people. The corridors are really narrow, which was fine for us (we’re all relatively petite!) but people with oodles of luggage might struggle! The pans, knives and wine glasses are really high up on walls/celing etc. we needed a chair to reach them - our small statures not such a bonus here!!

A beautiful, clean and welcoming cottage in a lovely, peaceful area. The beds were cosy, the cottage had plenty of character, and it was well equipped with the basic essentials. We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect English countryside getaway!
Care is needed on the uneven second-floor flooring, low ceilings and tight passage way, so guests should take care when moving around upstairs. A ground-floor toilet would improve convenience. The garden could be better maintained, and a few extras such as a broom, hair towels, and cooking basics would help. Public transport is limited, so a car is recommended.

Great communication from the host, including detailed directions.
The property is immaculate and cozy, offering plenty of space for six people. However, its location on a busy main road means the front bedrooms are noisy due to traffic. We visited during an extremely hot period, keeping the windows open, but the noise made for uncomfortable nights of sleep. Additionally, the master bedroom's mattress was very soft, which caused me back pains for several days.
