Location
We think the owners live across the street and they were observing our comings and goings. No dw. Beds uncomfortable. Pillows flat. Toddler height toilet.

Knus en gezellig huisje in een echte Amerikaanse woonwijk.
2 slaapkamers en alles wat je nodig hebt is er.
Handdoeken, vaatdoeken..afwasmiddel, spelletjes...
De service is uitstekend te noemen, de wifi viel uit en er stond binnen no time een monteur op de stoep.
Ook vragen via de Email werden snel beantwoord.
Grote supermarkt zit om de hoek.
Er was goed schoongemaakt.
Het was behoorlijk koud, maar de verwarming werkte gelukkig prima !
De bedden waren prima.
Er was een nieuwe wasmachine met een droger, dit kwam ook van pas.
We hebben een prima verblijf gehad.
Tip..de ronde tafel in de keuken is uitschuifbaar, hierdoor heb je meer ruimte.
De foto's komen goed overeen met het huisje.
Als je geen nieuw en luxe huis verwacht valt er niks tegen.
Zo is de verwarming ouderwets en onder de badmat zat een kuiltje in de vloer.
De meubels zijn nogal oud.
Hier en daar zijn wel wat kleine mankementjes.

Outside seating area could be better, no umbrella or sun loungers.
Old skirting radiators in poor condition in bathroom.

The home was cozy and was in close proximity to everything we wanted to see. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals and the home a was decorated very nicely. We loved to outdoor space with the grill and dining table. The neighborhood was very quiet and a walk to the pond, small beach, was only a few minutes away.
We have to comment of the friendliness and responsiveness of the Del Mar Staff that were sent out to resolve issues as well as the Del Mar Management team on the timeliness in answering my texts/calls and the effort put forth in resolving issues.
We stayed at the property for three weeks and here are some of the things we were disappointed with. We are rabid football/sports fans, and not being able to watch the games after a long day of sightseeing or watch current live news programs was frustrating. The living room TV DOES NOT have Roku or YouTube TV, it has Xfinity streaming which only provides you with reruns of TV programs from years gone by. We would have been happy if we could have just watched any of the major stations in 'real time' ie. ABC,CBS,NBC, Fox. We had to get a subscription to YouTube TV to watch any of the games. Perhaps the house information document should be updated.
I'm not sure how often the home is inspected, but it seems to need some repairs and TLC. (Photos below) The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, with the exception of the pillows. (We bought some plumper ones to use during our stay). The living room sofa and dining room furniture are not comfortable to sit on for any length of time. The kitchen and bathroom need some repairs/updating.
We also had to kill several spiders throughout the home. I was bitten a few times during our stay, luckily the bites resolved themselves.
But what we didn't like most of all was how Booking.com ripped us off by refusing to give us a refund when we had to cut two days off of our reservation, and they also kept $100 that Del Mar vacations was giving us to make up for the lack of TV viewing. Trying to get their "Customer Service" (I am using that term very loosely) department to do anything for you is an absolute exercise in futility.
