Die Ausstattung der Vans ist super. Es ist gemütlich und man bekommt ein Video zugeschickt wo alles erklärt wird. Die Vermieterin ist auch super nett, wir hatten leider ein Problem mit dem Auto, aber die Vermieterin war sofort erreichbar und ist auch noch spät am Abend vorbei gekommen, um das Problem sofort zu beheben 10/10.
Leider kommen noch weiter kosten auf einen zu. Man muss sich um einen Stell- oder Campingplatz kümmern und zwei Versicherungen für das Auto abschließen. Dafür werden aber auch Vorschläge oder Webseiten sowie Hilfe zur verfügung gestellt.

Sehr gepflegter Campervan mit guter Ausstattung zum Reisen. Wir haben das Fahrzeug sehr gerne gefahren.
Ein sehr strenger Mietvertrag mit vielen angedrohten Konsequenzen, den man erst beim Selfcheckin im Auto vorfindet. Diesen muss man vor Abfahrt unterschreiben und per Foto an die Eigentümerin senden. Das löste bei uns große Unsicherheit aus, da wir die Frau nicht kannten und es ein kleines Privatunternehmen war.
Bei der Rückgabe gibt ebenfalls nur einen Selfcheckout und man kann vor Ort bei der Rückgabe nicht klären, ob man sicher die 500 Dollar Kaution zurück erhält. Das Auto war super, aber auch schon 20 Jahre alt und hatte einige Beulen und Kratzer.
Sehr gut wäre, den Vertrag vorher per E-Mail zu erhalten und die Möglichkeit eines persönlichen Checkins und Checkouts mit der Inhaberin vereinbaren zu können. Auch wäre es schön, wenn im Mietpreise eine KFZ-Versicherung einhalten sein könnte ohne selbst eine zusätzlich für 30 USD am Tag vereinbaren zu müssen.

It was nothing like staying a tent - the mattress was comfortable, pillows were provided and even hot nights were bearable with a little fan. My husband who is 6.3 was able to stretch fully. I was a little worried about the storage space, but there was enough room for a massive suitcase, 2 large and 1 medium backpacks and all different bits and pieces. Cooking equipment was excellent as we were able to cook dinner each night and start each day with a cook of coffee (French press provided). Sleeping in the car allowed us easy travels around the island, we checked out all camping spots (Hosmer grove was our fave). As Maui is ridiculously expensive, we saved so much money. The car was very reliable and took us through Road to Hana and extremely winding roads of Haleakala. Christine was a wonderful host and remained responsive throughout the entire stay.
The pick up/drop off point wasn’t very convenient - we had to take a $25 there and back Uber, but it was definitely doable.

Maui ist sehr teuer und mit dem Campervan kann man die Kosten besser reduzieren. Der Campervan war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Unser Host Christine war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Wir würden wiederkommen und können es vollstens empfehlen.
Ein zweites Messer wäre toll 😃
