We had an amazing stay at Nature Resort in Polonnaruwa. The rooms were extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and all the amenities we needed.
We chose to visit Polonnaruwa because of its incredible history as Sri Lanka’s second ancient capital. It was also a convenient location for visiting Sigiriya Lion Rock and going on an elephant safari at Minneriya National Park.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming, helpful and always quick to respond. They helped us organise both day trips, making everything easy and enjoyable for our family. They also delighted us with delicious traditional Sri Lankan food.
One of the most memorable moments was seeing wild elephants on our way there! For anyone who doesn’t know, the Polonnaruwa region is home to wild elephants, making the journey itself feel like part of the adventure.
I also loved how much nature was surrounding the resort, and I took some incredible drone shots to showcase that, since I loved it so much!
I would highly recommend Nature Resort to anyone visiting Polonnaruwa or travelling around Sri Lanka. We felt genuinely welcomed and extremely well looked after.
There was nothing we disliked about our stay.
