Nice size place in decent location. Construction currently on the street so it’s not ideal for quiet mornings. Otherwise nice place to stay

When we first got to the property, we weren’t too sure
It’s very old, but it was clean. It appears to be in the old area of Iceland, where there’s a few hostiles. But at the end, we stayed in apartment, 102 which had a kitchenette, which was great because the price of food in Iceland is crazy expensive. It’s a self serve stay. Which we didn’t mind. It was walkable everywhere we needed to go. Love Iceland.

We were in Reykjavik for a tour and needed a place for one night’s stay. With the eclipse coming up, most hotels were booked. It worked out for us as the Swan House turned out to be a great alternative. I booked a suite as I wanted the opportunity to have a fridge and cook if needed. The suite was set up very well, and the bed comfortable (and we needed a good night’s sleep.) While the suite was quite expensive as compared to the same room in the states, it was Icelandic eclipse pricing.
The Swan Hotel is in an excellent location for most of the main sightseeing, shopping, and dining places. Plus it’s close to the water.
Last kudos to share about the Swan Hotel is that they have amazing communication as to sharing your access code for the hotel, your room, and the luggage room. Thank you for having a luggage room to secure bags for those hours between our early morning arrival into Reykjavik and our 3pm check-in.
