Finley’s Landing is such an amazing setting - it’s a great spot for family togetherness. It’s rural and gorgeous! We love the campfire and walking in the fall splendor… and we play cards and put together a puzzle. (The table has internal leaves and can accommodate the puzzle at one end while we still use the other end to eat.) The kitchen and living room are one space and is on the ground level, but the bathrooms and bedrooms are both on the split level portion of the cabin, so just keep that in mind if you’re planning a trip with someone that has trouble with stairs (though it’s only 1/2 flight up or down).
We just love staying here and always have a memorable trip!

Everything we needed for a perfect getaway! Location great for just enjoying the day by the river or exploring the area. Very clean. Will return.

My brother and I (both in our 60's) took our parents (who are 87 years old) to Finley's Landing and all of us had a great time. We took several short trips including to Wisconsin and Guttenberg, but mostly just enjoyed sitting on the deck and experiencing the view. We also liked and used the fire pit. With the fantastic beach and big yard, they would also be great for families.

Beautiful place and property. Everything we needed and mire. Nice beach.

We had a wonderful time at this very unique property, that ideally suited our large party and conveniently gave us access to the river for boating.

Our family truly enjoyed this private space on the Mississippi River. The home had everything we needed and Lindsay was an amazing host. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Was a great spot with nice sandy beach! Kids loved it!

Very neat spot right next to the water. I enjoyed spending the mornings drinking coffee on the sun porch with my family. The fire pit was an awesome place where we gathered, talked, and made s'mores. I do recommend getting food to cook in Dubuque before you go, because there are no grocery stores closer! This cabin is right near a train track, so you will hear a train horn a few times through the night, but it wasn't terrible.
Great hidden gem!

Nice cabin/house about 20 minutes from Dubuque, practically in a county park with a lovely sandy beach on the Mississippi. Kitchen was well stocked. Yard was beautiful with fire pit, rocking chairs, and even a bench swing. A windy drive to get there but worth it!

The property and house was great. I didn’t realize how remote it was. Quite an adventure to get there, but beautiful scenery on the way and at the property. Enjoyed our Getaway!

We were very happy with everything about this property. We had planned on spending some time in Dubuque during our trip but we never really felt the need to leave the cabin. The beach is amazing, even better than the pictures.

Best vacation ever! That's what my three grandsons said about this house. They loved being so close to the beach, and the fire pit was a big hit too. Great place to stay!

The house location is a perfect getaway. Personally, we like to have a few more basic items( like salt, and oil) in the kitchen. Also before arrival cleaning was a little inconsistent; we even found a pup bat inside the house. Though in the foothill of the forest and near a water body , this is not surprising.

This property was well appointed and perfect for our womens weekend. It is well appointed with everything you need. It was not quite as secluded as the pictures show but still beautiful. We were able to watch an eagle fishing and barges making its way down the Mississippi. We visited in late March. Hiking at the park that this property borders. Nice place. Could use some new beds.

Our trip with our 3 year old twins was perfect. We have been working hard to get them comfortable with the outdoors and this was the perfect location for them to feel adventurous and safe. We had the best time.

The cabin was very nice! It ended up raining most of the time we were there so didn't get to enjoy sitting by the campfire in the evenings, but it was still very relaxing. We will definitely rent again! The only downfall was we were really able to figure out the TV to watch college football.....

We are planning on this trip again for next year. Great place to stay, see the river watch boats and go and set at the beach. Just a great all away around. Thank you so much for this beautiful stay.

Loved this place! My friends and I wanted a rural place with lots of space for outdoor games, campfires, and water fun. This was perfect! Host Daniel was the perfect blend of being hands off but communicative (nothing worse than a nosy host who basically wants to spend your vacation with you).
Trains do go by somewhat regularly (6x a day?) - didn’t bother us at all but might annoy some.
Highly recommend this hidden gem!

We rented this cottage for a local beer festival. It provided a great place for friends to gather, eat and sleep in air conditioning. The weather was extremely hot, so we were unable to enjoy the fire pit, deck or outdoor swing. Pretty view of the Mississippi.

The rental house & the property is outstanding. It was perfect for a family get together with some relatives we hadn't seen at all in 2020. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed and more.

We enjoyed our time on the Mississippi River and the easy access to the beach. The deck was great for evening meals and the three season porch was a pleasant place for morning coffee. The house is surrounded by trees for privacy. You will hear cars going to the beach or campground nearby and the train going by multiple times a day. The house is about 20 minutes from Dubuque for shopping, sightseeing or restaurants. We also enjoyed a day trip to Galena IL which was about 40 minutes away.

We stayed at this house this past weekend, and we would highly recommend it!

We liked the secluded nature of the house. The beach was a quick walk away. The house was well maintained and clean. Didn't realize there were train tracks next to the property until the train came by...

The home was very cozy with great amenities. The location and scenery are perfect. We would recommend the location to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a great time and it was perfect size for the 4 adults and 1 toddler we had. The house was very well maintained, yard was gigantic and we used the beach almost every day.
It did not take away from our experience, but I did not realize from the fly over video that the beach is a very public beach with a campground and boat launch just a short walk down the road.
