A little oasis!
Tiny hostel with big heart! The team is super welcoming, open and kind, make you feel home far away from home. They make sure you are never on your own: group chat where you can organise events with fellow travellers, bonfire nights, ‘family dinner’ for guests, breakfast together - a real community builder. Many little details that make you feel welcome.
Place is cozy, bed is comfy, garden is magical.
They also try to find a solution for all of your challenges - just need to reach out (even before your arrival).
The room can get a little hot - however each bed has its own mini fan to cool you down - great idea and helps a lot.

The one thing must do on Pico is stay at loving strangers!
Amazing hostel, the best staff and cool people. Make sure you join their family dinners/bbq, even if youre not staying there.
They have created what hostels should all be about - connecting people! Whether you are travelling solo, with friends or in a couple. If you want to meet interesting people and have a good time then this is the place to stay.
It is not luxury but it is everything you need in a hostel for a comfortable stay. The bunk beds are probably some of the best ive ever stayed in at hostels.
I wish every hostel was like Loving Strangers. Hope to be back again some day.

I’m not reviewing a bed or a stay, but a whole 3 days experience. This is a (truly beautiful) place made to foster connections: hammocks in the garden, family dinners, organized activities, and you’ll never want to leave. You’ll get to know who created this oasis of love and truly feel grateful to be part of it, even for a few days
