Peace and quiet in a compact but fully equipped annex.

There was absolutely nothing that we did not like.

Such a lovely place to stay. The whole apartment was bigger than I expected, the bed was comfy and the duvet soft and cosy. I loved the extra touches such as the puffin decor for the season and the additional facilities (toiletries and tea/coffee essentials). I also liked how easy check in was. The shower looks very nice and was also great to use and the bathroom is a good size. Everything we needed to cook was there and clean. The location was brilliant for us and easy to find with the comprehensive instructions from the owner. We also loved reading about the history of the property/area. Plenty of parking and great wifi. I feel that the previous review showing the lack of maintenance in the property is very unfair. These pictures showed a very small snapshot of what this property is about and so I have included photos that show the other side and hopefully a more complete picture of the property.

We did see quite a few spiders but not sure the owners can control the local wildlife! Although the accommodation was generally clean and in good condition, we do feel that cleaning inside the property could have been more thorough. There were spider webs under the bed, which could be easily tackled. Some of the blinds didn't work which was a shame but didn't really affect our stay. On the first night, we did hear some noise from next door but nothing extreme and I only mention it to help manage peoples expectations. This is an annex of a house which is lived in. I highly recommend booking this accommodation. A lot of time and effort has gone into making it comfortable.

Very peaceful location, had everything needed, and quickly felt like home Our hosts were charming and vert helpful. This cottage is remote, and many of the surrounding lanes are single track, and look all the same - best to use SatNav, Waze, or Google Maps.

Remember to take a tea towel, kitchen roll, and food bags. We found few opportunities for eating out, unless happy to eat chips. We realised it was best to make good use of the kitchenette.

It was a cute place to stay, chickens came to visit us too. Nice location.
