Miracolo di Mare Golden House

De locatie was super. Het was even zoeken in de kleine straatjes, maar alles was goed aangelopen. Parkeergelegenheid is wel een eindje verderop. Het buitenzitje was ideaal en ondanks er geen ontbijt geserveerd zou worden, waren er toch croissants, fruit en koffie.

De airconditioning rook alles behalve fris, waardoor we deze nauwelijks konden gebruiken. Hierdoor was het aan de warme kant in de kamer, maar we hebben ons verblijf hier niet door laten belemmeren.

Beautiful room, good location near bus stop. Friendly staff, coffee machine in the room. We got fresh croissants, fruit and coffee in the morning. Good locking system - without key/card so you can’t lose it haha.

Everything was supeer.

Pulizia eccezionale, stanza minimal arredata con gusto appena ristrutturata, infissi alle finestre, letto e aria condizionata da albergo a 4 stelle. Colazione essenziale fatta in un delizioso giardino.

The room was exactly like the pictures and the furniture, bathroom and bedding all had a luxurious feel. The location was good, right in the old town within the maze of cobbled streets.

Upon arrival we discovered that the fridge didn't work (we had to plug it in and it then made a strange clicking noise), after at least half an hour, it still wasn't getting cold. We went to speak to the guy on reception and his 'solution' was to 'allow' us to use one of the staff fridges in a communal garden area, the only issue was that this was locked from 6pm, and if we wanted to access it we needed to walk around the block to a door on a different street...not ideal when we had brought breakfast items and drinks that we wanted in the room. There was also an air conditioning unit, but this was placed on the floor, we don't think it was working properly as even though the room stayed cool, the floor was constantly wet and everything in the room felt damp. We unpacked our suitcases at the next hotel after staying here and all our clothes felt damp, I don't think the unit was actually venting outside properly. We would have fed this back at check-out, however there was no one at the desk when we were leaving and another member of staff was milling about but just ignored us! As we had paid our bill online already we just decided to leave! Also a warning to anyone susceptible to insect bites...I managed a whole week in northern Slovenia without being bitten, I applied jungle formula every time I went out in the evening, but I suffered 3 bites whilst sat on the balcony in the morning here as I didn't think mosquitoes would be about then - I was wrong!!
