This ancient structure has been very nicely refurbished. In a rather isolated countryside location, the hotel is like a restaurant with rooms, which are spacious, with a big comfy bed and top quality linens. The star of the show here is the Peruvian chef: tasty, home cooking of style, substance and balance: super fresh clams and sole; local boletus mushrooms; sublime slow roasted red peppers; great hand cut fries; authentic strudel, home made ice creams and sorbets…..you are in for a treat and only €25 for 3 courses.
poor soundproofing … I was woken by the adjacent room showering at 0530 which sounded like they were in my room!
The espresso is a real let down. A shame. Manu, I can help here. And with the wine list too.
Too many flies in the restaurant and breakfast rooms. Surely a simple fix.

Très bien rénové. L’hôtel est très beau, la chambre tout confort, l’extérieur et la piscine extrêmement agréable.

I knew the location was rural and was not expecting the level of service and comfort that we found. The location was somewhat remote (requiring a rental car to get around), in a quiet little village. The room was huge, tastefully decorated and had all modern conveniences. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was awesome. Because the location is remote we were dependent on the hotel's restaurant for all meals, which were superb and served in a wonderful greenhouse-like sun room. As vegetarians we were prepared to eat little but potatoes and cheese during our trip to Spain but the chef here went above the beyond to create vegetarian options for us at every meal. The staff was friendly and so accommodating. This place is a gem and I am already planning to go back.
