Charming old-world style baths—upgraded for modern sensibilities. Right in the village closest to the prehistoric caves of Monte Cassino. Bought spa access for each day there and got bubbled and pummeled with water
Parking lot tends to get filled up, and folks park Anywhere! (Also, locals use it, when there’s not enough for guests.

Great pool. Comfortable bed. Very good access to Santander ferry port (30 minutes). Cafe bar (over the road) very relaxing.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No balcony in the Junior Suite. Rather tired decor/furniture.

The room we stayed in was lovely, clean and spacious. The grounds were pretty and most of the hotel staff were nice and polite.

Opportunities to use the spa.
Several things about the property: the breakfast was not included in my booking, and at the price I paid for 6 days I would have expected it. The room had no tea or coffee facilities so we had travel out to supermarkets to buy and to use a small fridge for cold drinks and yoghurt/milk for our own use.
The cafe on site was overpriced and every item we ate was poor. I paid €12 for a sandwich consisting of lettuce , tomato and 2 pieces of asparagus. It was also bulked up with stale bread! As a side I had uncooked oily fries most of it was inedible. My family’s food was of a similar standard. It felt like badly cooked frozen food. What surprised me was that at busy times people were queuing to eat/sit in the garden cafe! Maybe they came once only! The bar over the road had cheaper and better food with great service!
I used the Spa. I enjoyed 2 hours of sauna/steam and hydro relaxation. However I also paid€102 for a very very bad lymphatic drainage. Worst ever.The older lady who attempted the treatment could not speak English. She limply touched my stomach and legs. Not my arms. There was no pressure as required for lymphatic massages. I complained to the hotel reception who book the treatments .. the gentle man did nothing and simply took my feedback and said that is how we do it here. I said no that is not correct and should change the treatment.. as it was not even a light massage pressure. Very disappointed and was not even offered an alternative or refund. I would not return to the hotel and would recommend alternative places.
