This is a beautiful hotel; the rooms are big and comfortable. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The location is good if it's not raining otherwise, it can be a bit far from the main tourist attractions if you prefer walking.
Nothing truly related to the hotel, when arriving at the airport and if you are looking to take the bus to the hotel, make sure to provide the correct address. We said Portobello to the bus ticket officer, yet Portobello is very big and the bus left us far from the hotel, it was around an 18 min walk to get there.

Room a bit cramped

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant and bar had a wonderful, inviting atmosphere.
The room was very small and had no window that could be opened, not even one without a view. Instead, there was only a fixed translucent glass panel, which made the room feel rather enclosed.
Another drawback was the lack of individual reading lights. To read in bed, we had to keep the main ceiling light on, which was inconvenient.
Overall, the room did not offer the level of comfort we would expect for the price.
