The house is a wonderful old building, filled with period pieces and most attractive inside
A spiral staircase up from the entrance / drawing room to our room which was equally glamorous with period furniture and a large en suite bathroom. Thoughtful touches - bath salts, a kettle and tea bags, lots of information and a map of Troyes . Additional bedding also provided ( it was warm so not needed) The location is so close to the town.!You cross the road and you are in old Troyes which is a lovely french town and a showcase of Champagne wines and other local produce. We travelled with our two labradors and Jerome was very welcoming to them ( and to us ) and is clearly a dog lover ( though there are cats on site )
Breakfast is at a shared table with other guests which was very interesting - fresh juice, baguette and jam, cheese, coffee. This is a lovely place from which to explore the area or - as we were - stopover en route to Morzine. Thank you Jerome
Not really a dislike as cannot be changed - but It is a bit tricky to unload at first glance, as the house fronts a main road and is on a junction, with a v narrow pavement. But we managed! There is a large front garden into which to unload bags
Jerome then directed us to the secure parking which is a minutes walk away, so as I say, just know that you are in the right place when you see the sign on the front garden fence right next to the road

Mooi karakteristiek huis. Prima ligging. Afgesloten parkeerterrein. Wij hadden een badkamer op de gang, klein trappetje naar beneden. Voor ons prima, wij wisten dit van te voren! Leuke stad
Mooi oud huis maar daardoor wel heel gehorig.
Lieve katten in huis en dat brengt wel geur met zich mee. Ontbijt is sober, tafel netjes gedekt. Houd je van een uitgebreid ontbijt zou ik elders aanbevelen.
