This is the second-newest hotel in this 3 million city. It is located smack in the town center, on the top floors of the completely new Chu-Nichi building in the Sakae neighborhood. There is no better location in Nagoya! Our corner room was on the 34th floor, two floors under the top and had breathtaking views over the city; it was spacious enough and offered all amenities, including comfortable beds (not a given in Japan!). The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering Japanese and Western options and eating on an outside terrace with space heaters, overlooking the city center below. Stunning, actually. The staff was professional and polite, and there were fluent English speakers at the desk, again - and sadly - a rarity in Japan, even in the best places.
I would have given this new hotel a perfect score, was it not for the architectural peculiarities of the place: unnecessary long and dark-paneled corridors giving a rather sinister feeling like in a futuristic thriller. And then the fact that one has to navigate from the top floors all the way down to the third floor, and again run an extensive dark corridor mace until one finally reaches the breakfast area; and then back again. Really weird, to say the least, but of course not a fault of the hotel itself, but of an architect who tried hard to be different - and failed in my opinion.

スタッフの方々がとても丁寧で、お部屋も綺麗でした。
ロケーションですが、隣の建物？が半分写真に写り込んでしまう。部屋を選択する際にそのような写真（説明）がなかったので、少し残念だった。
