I loved the complimentary spa! It was well kept and available overnight, which was perfect for my jet lag. I also enjoyed the hotel's overall cleanliness, soft beds, view of Nagoya, and the hospitality of the staff.
It was a little hard to figure out the lighting switches in the room, which as I found later, seem to be a common feature of Japanese hotel rooms rather than a problem unique to Mitsui.

The view of the city from our room was cool, and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. We had a very relaxing stay.
It was a bit difficult to find the hotel when coming through the underground passageways.

Convenient
The housekeeping was quite careless and not clean during my two weeks stay. I had to remove my own rubbish at times

This was a weekend away for me and my partner after we haven’t seen each other for 3 months due to our work.
I booked this in the hopes of a luxurious getaway but I was disappointed with the result.
Good points
clean room and good amenities
Nice vending machine on the same floor as room with ice machine
Location is pretty good right in the middle for the station,shops,restaurants and bars
Staff are very nice and polite
Breakfast is okay not a lot of variety if you have certain diet condition like myself but my partner was a fan so I’ll give it a pass
Now for the bad points
The room is very small for the price you pay very similar to APA I’ll admit the bed is comfier but overall room size is small
The spa/onsen is incredibly small and honestly not that worth it, there is one small bath and a few stations to wash up/shower at but nothing else. The temperature is the onsen was also a little low for my liking I like it to be around 40° Celsius but this one was more around 30-35 based on my estimation
The breakfast area is incredibly small and as I said previously variety is not there really, they insist on ordering a dish from the menu but if you have a special diet i can’t see it being worth the extra price
Finally the other guests at this hotel made the experience very bad for me and my partner. There were many times when leaving and going to our rooms or even in the spa we were disgusted with other guest’s behaviour, for me one guests started sneezing and wiping snot and phlegm in the onsen which made me leave straight away even though I was only there for 5 minutes.
I understand this is not the hotels fault but maybe it’s best to enforce stricter rules and reminding guests more often
