It is an apartment and it was not serviced. I recommend the breakfast at The Ladder one block away on Bree street. Security was good. Location was excellent for my purpose which was easy access to the Western Cape High Court. It also has easy access to Bree street restaurants.
The mattress needs replacing. It would have been nice to have a small sachet of washing powder to use in the washing machine. The door opens onto the wastebin collection point for the floor, and the smell was not pleasant. The building is occupied by many marijuana smokers. I was woken by the smell during the night as I slept with the door to the balcony open. The lifts and other common areas also smelt of marijuana smoke. The security system, whilst good is quite draconian. No person may visit you without you first sending a copy of his or her passport or identity document to the host to approve. I found this inconvenient and arranged meetings offsite to avoid the inconvenience of asking a guest for a copy of their passport or identity document. There was no sheet under the duvet. It was too hot under the duvet and too cold without a cover of any kind.
