The super king-sized bed was very comfortable and 2x sofas & a very large tv were a great addition. Kerry, the host, was very accommodating and we appreciated the advice about the local area she gave to us during our stay. The recently renovated modern bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was great, with a selection of continental bits. We loved the dogs too who were cute and friendly!

The care & attention the manager/owner is putting into the renovation. It was immaculately clean, warm & inviting with the open fire & two wonderful resident dogs.With imaginative ideas & plans for a gin distillery & cafe in the old bar area & the quirky artistic decor reminiscent of olden days, it was a super interesting stay

The woman who owns and runs the place was great. They are in the middle of a multi-year restoration of this historic property and she spent time with us over breakfast explaining what they were doing, how they had decorated and what the future plans are. We had the "Suite", a spacious corner room with a very firm king bed and really good pillows. Eclectic decorating enthralled my wife. Two really friendly dogs on site. Elevator for luggage or people to go up or down to rooms. Good size TV with free Netflix. Access to the wrap around balcony from the room. Good continental breakfast included.
When I read that we had the "Suite" I assumed that was an ensuite. Bathrooms were communal and a distance from our room. Both bar and restaurant are still under renovation. Street parking.

Great spot and nice room
The fact that the previous occupants of the room had stolen the key so we had to go find a staff member to get a key so we could actually shut the door
Also a little booklet or piece of paper with the wifi details and breakfast details time ect would have been nice as didn't get any of those details given to us
