Really a lovely setting. Deer around the property. Nice kitchen. Wonderful deck. The notebook was full of good information about the area.
The bottom set of steps, probably about five of them, had no hand railing. This was not good for our group of seniors. Also, the bathroom shower floor was incredibly slippery. And downright dangerous. A simple rubber sticky mat would cure that problem. Also, the notebook was lacking information about the “fireplace.”
Prior to arrival, The property managers demanded that I email ID and credit card. Having already paid for this property through booking.com and feeling uncomfortable about emailing Personal ID information, I reached out to them and they again demanded the information to be emailed, saying that it was nonnegotiable. Thank you booking.com for intervening and reminding them about the option of showing ID upon arrival. By the way, the managers never came to check my ID and get a credit card.

We cooked breakfast for ourselves with things provided by the host, which was great. We heard on other reviews no oil s & p so we brought those. We ate out for the other meals. We had trouble with the lock at first, but even more trouble trying to change it to a personal one so in the end, just fig it out! HAAAATED the laundry stuff in the bedroom, so moved that out of there & linens all smelled of FABREEZE, so was hard on allergies we don't use scented stuff - Aired out the rooms. The common areas don't have shades/window coverings off putting in the early mornings or running to the bathroom at night - looks like you are really up there in pics, but you are not! Not as isolated as pics showed, also the stairs were HARD on me, thought there was an easier entrance, my fault on that...good stuff: Loved the art work, location, the nicely appt kitchen and comfy living room, Orcasopoly was fun to play (we ordered our own now!) the bird songs were amazing!!
The stairs and messy deck, it was slippery with pollen - the furniture was unusable outside - no curtains or shades that I could lower at all at night - the floors were sticky - looked clean but made a sound with every single step even though we were careful wiping feet (we live in the woods, 2 1/2 acres and am careful about bringing things in from outside) the lock was annoying but we figured it out...the TV took three remotes to control - with only a sentance in the booklet to explain "turn on the tv with the remote" or something - needed to be more user friendly - we had to call Vacasa over the TV, we read in the guestbook someone stayed a few days and never got it to work.
