Wonderful experience and a special moment in our trip around Japan! It is a renovated old traditional Japanese house with a cozy living room looking on a Japanese garden. We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast in the morning. The host is extraordinarily kind and friendly, he gave us many tips on Takayama and even drove us to the close Hida folk village. The host also offer a free shuttle service from the centre to the house making the distance absolutely irrelevant. We absolutely recommend the stay and hope to be back soon!

If you decide to stay at this property you are in for an absolute treat. Tai and his family go over and beyond to make every detail of your holiday a tradition experience. Tai can recommend and advise on all tourist sights and restaurants in the area. He was very kind and picked us up and dropped us off to make our day as hassle free as possible. The traditional and continental breakfast were a presentation and taste sensation. We could have stayed for ever.
There are no negatives here.
