After checking the property profile and seeing the views in the photos, I honestly couldn’t consider staying anywhere else. I thought carefully about the cost and ended up adjusting my travel budget just to make this property fit into my trip.
I contacted customer service beforehand and explained that I wanted the best possible view. They recommended Tiny House #6 and kindly warned me that it required quite a few stairs to reach. I really appreciated being told in advance so I knew what to expect.
I’ll admit, reaching #6 with five suitcases was not easy! 😅 But I really wanted the view and didn’t want to leave any luggage in the car, just in case.
The staff were also fantastic. Jacob is an amazing person always helpful, caring, and ready to assist and helped taking the suitcases with me. The Italian staff member from Como (I’m sorry, I forgot her name) was also extremely helpful, respectful, and professional.
The tiny house itself felt five-star. It was very clean, modern, and felt almost brand new. The kitchen is small but has everything you need, including a microwave, fridge, and all the essentials for cooking.
One of my favorite touches was the telescope they provided, which made enjoying the view even more special.
And of course, the view is the real highlight. It is honestly one of the best views I’ve ever seen day and night. Believe me, when you finally reach the property and see it in person, you’ll be amazed.
I also tried renting the small electric car, which was a fantastic experience and something I definitely recommend trying.
The Gambarogno area itself is beautiful, peaceful, safe, and quiet, and the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The journey up is worth it for the view alone and as a getaway, and I would absolutely stay here again.
The property needs a magical idea bringing suitcases up the hill. I thought of couple of ideas but all ended up making noise to the residence.

- A major disappointment was a mistake with our cabin reservation. Although we had booked a different cabin, upon arrival we found out that we had been assigned another one. Unfortunately, as the property was fully booked, it was not possible to change it. We had specifically chosen cabin #4 because of the view, but were given #6, where, while sitting in the jacuzzi, you mainly look at the roof of the cabin in front of you. The staff only sent an apologetic message after I shared screenshots of our previous conversation confirming that we had booked a different cabin. Despite the mistake being entirely on the property’s side, we did not receive any compensation or even a small gesture of goodwill. A bottle of wine or a small gift from their shop would certainly have been appreciated.
- Because of the cabin mix-up, we ended up in the cabin furthest away, which requires climbing a considerable number of stairs. We were travelling with a child, so this was not easy. Unfortunately, the view did not really make up for the climb. In my opinion, the views from cabins #2, #3 or #4 are actually better, while access to them is much easier.
-The cabin initially seemed very clean and well prepared for our arrival. Unfortunately, we discovered that there can be cockroaches inside (I have attached a photo). We found two of them on the day of our departure and immediately informed the staff via WhatsApp. The response was simply: “Oh okay, thank you for letting us know.” I understand that this may not necessarily be the staff’s fault, but I would have at least expected a response along the lines of “We’re very sorry” or “We apologize for this inconvenience.”
