We had such a friendly, kind welcome, after a horrid evening the night before and we really appreciated this! We had a lovely room with a very comfortable bed and great pillows ( so important!). Nothing was too much trouble. We were only staying the night as we were walking the South Downs Way but would like to spend more time in Midhurst and would gladly stay at The Swan again.
I inadvertently left my headset behind and the manager is sending it back to me. Customer service above and beyond! Thank you

Very well located. Relaxed & welcoming without being intrusive. Excellent cooked breakfast but I think it would be good to offer healthy alternatives like shakes & overnight oats.

It's location, its historic character and friendly staff when they were not busy - then they were rather unsmiling and a tad curt! Great breakfasts.
We tried to get an evening meal on the evening, but they couldn't accommodate us as booked up. It would have been good practice to have asked us on arrival but they didn't and were rather curt when we tried to get a table later. We found a delightful Italian restaurant instead. The plastic flowers everywhere rather than real ones rather let the side down and took away from the historic feel. Thought the room rate was way over priced. Enjoyable stay.
