A gorgeous scene awaits you at every turn, from banks of windows in the living room to the spacious deck out back. This two-story home sits on the oceanfront south of small-town Hancock (two miles north). It's a marvelous home base for exploring - secluded and rural, yet close to beloved attractions. You can easily explore Winter Harbor (18 miles) and the beautiful Schoodic Peninsula to the south, spend the day in majestic Acadia National Park (23 miles), or shop and dine your way through Bar Harbor (28 miles). Bask in the summer sunshine on the large deck - breathing in the salty sea air and watching boats pass through Mt. Desert Narrows. Sear some fresh local seafood on the gas grill and set the table for a sunset dinner outdoors. The interior is a showcase of the natural setting as well, with the ocean on display in the window-lined living room, the dining room, and all three bedrooms. Enjoy a spacious kitchen, both a living room and a den (with smart TVs) for after-dinner movie nights, and family-friendly conveniences that include a washer/dryer, a high chair, a booster seat, and baby gates. Complimentary WiFi is provided as well. Things to Know Streaming services are available with guests' own account credentials. Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
