1. Access to property after sunset is a challenge. Driveway and house sign was not visible from the road. 2. Blinds in bedrooms and dining area were broken. 3. Taking a shower in both the bathrooms was a challenge- masterbath just has a jacuzzi;hallway bathroom shower stall is the tiniest we have ever seen 4. Kitchen pots and pans were aluminium, bent out of shape and looked at least 50 years old. Did not want to use them even for a quick meal. 5. We had one rainy day- TV in the common area was like a monitor and there were no board games in the house. 6. Attempts to contact property manager failed. VACASA reached the local property manager who did not call us back at all.

Pros: - Beautiful views from the home - Plenty of nice towels and toiletries - Working washer and dryer with laundry detergent - 30 minutes from Acadia - Private location surrounded by nature Cons: - Hazard #1: Mold in home with strong moth ball smell in basement - Hazard #2: Upstairs deck off dining room unusable due to missing boards, rotting boards & holes in boards - Hazard #3: There was a keyed lock on master bedroom door. We closed the door to leave and it locked behind us. We lost 1/2 a day trying to get the door open. We had to walk over to find a neighbor, b/c our phones, wallets, etc. were locked in the room. Vacasa had to contact the owner to get the key combination in a lock box, as Vacasa was not prepared to unlock a door and "had never heard of" such an incident. Poor communication with Vacasa and no way to communicate with them via a website. They did not respond to us for hours, until we called via the neighbors phone multiple times. The next day, someone came and changed the lock while we were gone. They had not told us they were coming and left the tools used and pile of trash on the floor below the new knob. Huge privacy violation! - Piles of trash by the front door upon arrival. This was removed when they came to change the door lock. - Water damage under kitchen sink and it began leaking again onto the floor during our stay. Water damage in basement ceiling with strong smell. - Incorrect internet network information provided. - Only 1 shower in the home and it is not as pictured on website. There is no sliding door but a shower curtain with an overhead light that doesn't work - Blinds don't close and slide off the wall when you try to close them. With 4:30 AM sunrise and blinds that don't close, it was hard to sleep in master bedroom - Many lights (kitchen, shower, bathroom, laundry room) don't work properly and may turn off randomly or not work at all. - Very quirky and dated decor - Full dehumidifier in basement. We emptied this ourselves. - Great view from the back window, but multiple windows were completely fogged up the entire stay and/or could not be closed from the inside when opened

I couldn’t stay, home is stuck in the 70’s and well preserved in Mothballs. Odor to strong for me. Needs some TLC too.

The only shower to use was way to small. There was a mothball smell down stairs that was terrible. The house was a good location for everything we wanted to see in Maine.

The house had safety issues with holes in the decks making them a safety hazard and unuseable. It was very hot inside when we arrived and the downstairs had a very strong smell of mildew which never went away. The humidifier in the downstairs was full and filled up every day. There is 1 shower only, so small a grown man can't wash his feet. Towel bars and toilet paper holder were missing in Master, kitchen not really useable for lack of items. Furniture was old and mismatched and 4 windows overlooking the bay were filled with moisture blocking the view. The outside lanai had long branches growing between the boards and wax from candles all over the table. We have stayed at VRBOs before and find this one extremely sub-standard.
