Fantastic cosy cottage, nicely decorated, v clean, loads of kitchen equipment, super comfy beds, stairs not as steep as we expected (with light sensors), on demand hot water, 1 hour parking outside (free 6pm-8am). Alexa in lounge was a good addition
What a great location! Spar, butcher, newsagents, ice cream shop all within 50 yds. Chippy and Pizza shop 75 yds great new bar 'Nook' and 'More' bakery next door-00 yds, chocolatier and UK largest cycle shop too! Eagle & Child pub for food and log fires. Bus every 30 mins to Kendal or Windermere
Love this village, just what we needed for a 4 day break from the SE. Will return for sure!
We stayed late September during the transition from summer to autumn. Sadly there was no instruction on how to turn the (underfloor) heating on longer than programmed so we were quite chilly despite log fire (down to 8C outside overnight). Fan heater etc would be a welcome addition we suggest.
Shower was hot whenever we used it
Finally, suggest clearer instructions for key safe; took us 5 goes to get in and luckily it wasn't raining (we are retired!!)
Great value cottage in a prime spot, we will return if heating gets sorted and sorry for the moan, hope it helps to improve the customer experience.

It was convenient, good location and shops and pubs are near, near to windermere and a bus away to sites we wanted to go. The host left treats for our dog and a bottle of wine but we didnt drink hoping its coffee though.

Great location and had all necessary amenities.
Parking a little awkward, although managed to find a spot as suggested in the information file. Quite a busy cut though for traffic.

Nice location and cute little cottage
It wasn't clean and mettle bed made it uncomfortable to get a good night's sleep. Heating wasn't working after adjusting the thermostat as suggested. Only 1 bathroom across family of 4 people. It wasn't cleaned properly and smelt dusty despite informing the owners my son has eczema.
