The property is really nice with wonderful views
The bathroom towels were quite discoloured and didn’t look very clean. We also noticed what seemed to be a possible leak from the jacuzzi. We hadn’t gotten out of the water yet, but there was already water on the bathroom floor, which was a bit strange. It would be a good idea to have the jacuzzi and the surrounding area checked to make sure there isn’t a leak.

Lovely cottage, comfy bed and generally clean. Really liked the spa bath and fireplace and loooved being just across the road from sunset lookout.
There is a really unpleasant, mouldy smell coming from the cupboards in the kitchen. Needs better stock checking systems. We found empty boxes of coffee pods, empty bottle of olive oil, couple of empty air freshener bottles…

Hot water, comfy bed, peaceful, great location nearby Hang Gliders Hill for views & sunset. Handy for visiting local breweries, bakeries & National Parks for hiking and waterfalls.

We stayed two nights and even with lots of experience, we spent a lot of time on the first night trying to get the fire going.
No kindling or fire starters provided, just long matches.
All the wood sounded wet as it was ‘hissing’ when trying to get it lit.
So we made a special trip out to buy fire starters and a bbq lighter however still couldn’t get a fire going for any length of time. The large pieces of wood just wouldn’t catch & kept ‘hissing’.
On top of that, the heat function on the split system in the living room stopped working.
It was 10c so very chilly with the tiled floors as well - no shoes allowed inside so bring your thick socks!
We contacted the host Mark about both issues on our second day, letting him know that we’d bought the extra supplies and were going out again to buy dry firewood to hopefully solve the fireplace problem.
No reply at all. Ever.
On the second night, with the purchased dry kindling, the fire starters and bbq lighter (all bought at our own expense) we were able to get a fire going thankfully because the heater was still not working & we hadn’t heard back from Mark.
We dried the provided wood in front of the fire and were able to use some of it eventually.
Overall, a lot of time & frustration spent fiddling with the fire, going out to source additional items and rotating the wet wood provided instead of using our time sitting back relaxing and enjoying the fire like we imagined when we booked.
Very disappointing that we never heard back from the Host as it affected both our comfort and our enjoyment of the stay.

A lovely cottage. But needs some attention
Has a fireplace but they only left 3 pieces of wood.. no fire lighter or matches .. no kindling!
We had to go to IGA twice to get things we needed! The shower/bath gel was empty!
