We understand the entire country is going through one of the toughest times, with frequent power outages leaving people without electricity-no lights, no air conditioner, no fans, no way to charge your devices. We truly sympathised with this situation and feel sorry that such challenges are happening in this wonderful country.
During our dinner, the electricity went out. It took us a little while to adjust the darkness in our room, but the staff showed great thoughtfulness by visiting each guest, offering their apologies and providing candles to help us through the night. Although the outage was beyond their controls, they still did their best to apologise, comfort us and provide excellent service. About an hour later, the power returned, and the manager personally visited us again to extend the apologies to every room, which we found very considerate.
Another one touched us was the absence of the kettle inside the room. The staff kindly prepared a vacuum flask of hot water to meet my needs, which felt thoughtful and warm.
Since we had early safari at 6am, they even able to arrange the breakfast at 5am and checkout process despite of the challenges last night. We sincerely appreciate their dedication and their cares to guests, even during difficult circumstances.
Bed: big, comfort, no bugs, no noise from outside, have mosquito shelter
Room: spacious to have table, few chairs
Air-conditioner & fan: the cool atmosphere would wake you up in mid night, make sure to have enough bed sheet.
Bathroom: provided the soap, have to self prepare shower, shampoo and condition, sandals, hair dryer
Hotel: have carpark, restaurant downstairs
View: a lake next to dining areas, nice view to enjoy the meal; Bundala national park is just 5mins drive, very close to the entrance
Food: nice in huge size
Room: sockets are not next to your bed, better prepare a longer charging wires; no kettle/ cups/ bottles of water/ tea bags/ instant coffee powder/ kitchenware, ask for help if need
Bathroom: provided the soap & one small towel for 2 persons, have to self prepare shower, shampoo and condition, sandals, hair dryer
Hotel: rooms mostly located upstairs, no lift

The food, was plentiful and enjoyable.
Not much, the hotel suited our needs perfectly - which was to film in the nearby National Park. Rooms were a decent size and the food was good.
