About this house rental
Enjoy all of what Wrangell, Alaska has to offer from our cozy and recently remodeled 3 bed, 2 bath home. You will be in a quiet and friendly neighborhood yet only a 1-minute drive to the harbors and a 5-minute walk from downtown. There is easily enough parking space for 5 vehicles in the parking area in front of the house. This would be a great place to have a family gathering, dinner party or BBQ. This house is fully furnished, including Wi-Fi and a fully stocked kitchen. You will find plenty of extra sheets and towels above the washer and dryer. Feel free to use the fridge and deep freezer to preserve or prepare your bounty from a successful hunting or fishing trip for the flight home. Don't forget to bring a fresh bag of Alaskan coffee so you can enjoy a warm cup on the covered porch or in front of the fireplace. We would be happy to assist you in scheduling fishing trips and charters from Wrangell with enough advance notice.

Honest feedback here: The house was clean and welcoming. It is a nice neighborhood and location to be situated in. The light in the entry did not work (specialty bulb that could not be remedied during our visit). Unfortunately it was the only light in the living room. Perhaps the addition of a lamp would help. Duane, the host was not able to respond quickly to my communication efforts. One surprise upon arrival was the lack of a door on one of the bathrooms. Doors are missing on closets-perhaps those are in the works. Peeling paint in the hall bathtub could use improvement for bathing infants. These are some things that would have been nice to know up front. We loved the campfire area in the yard! The BBQ was not ready for use- cleaning instructions regarding mold would be helpful. Finding a heater unit in each of the bedrooms was a fantastic feature of the home. Overall we had a very positive experience. There was plenty of seating, plenty of dishes and cookware for our group of 8. Duane wished us enjoyment in the rental and we certainly had a good time.

Wonderful spot to lay your head in Wrangell. Close enough to walk downtown, good layout for guests, big open gathering spaces, beautiful deck and nice yard. Loved staying here for the week.
