About this bed and breakfast

Summary:

Escape to our enchanting countryside retreat, a cozy haven tucked amidst towering gum trees. Nestled within this idyllic setting, our self-contained cedar wood cottage boasts a cathedral ceiling, offering a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.

The Space:

Upstairs the cottage features a spacious bedroom with king bed, a charming reading nook with breathtaking views, and a large desk table perfect for writing or working, and the upstairs sofa easily transforms into a comfortable double bed. Downstairs, the bedroom offers a mesmerising forest view from another king bed and a bookcase filled with captivating reads.

Pamper yourself in the roomy bathroom's spa bath, and prepare delicious meals in the fully-equipped kitchen using locally sourced ingredients from the nearby farms and vineyards. Stay comfortable year-round with the enclosed fire, room fans, and reverse cycle air conditioning/heating.

Outside, relax on the deck and marvel at the sight of kangaroos, colourful parrots, playful kookaburras, and even the occasional echidna!

The Neighborhood:

For culinary adventures, explore nearby restaurants, cafes, markets, and wineries like Red Hare, Wombat Forest, Attwoods, and Zig Zag, all within a 10-minute drive. Indulge in mouthwatering breakfasts and local treats at Glenlyon General Store, just a short drive away.

Discover Daylesford and Kyneton, both just 15 minutes away, or venture to the trendy towns of Trentham and Woodend, a mere 20-minute drive. Our location in the picturesque Hepburn spa country, on the edge of the Macedon Ranges, offers endless opportunities for exploration. Alternatively, Ethel Cottage beckons as a peaceful retreat where you can simply do nothing at all.

Conveniently located, we are just a scenic 1 hour and 30-minute drive from Melbourne, an hour from Bendigo and Ballarat, and only 30 minutes from Castlemaine. Whether you're seeking adventure or serenity, our cottage, with its cedar wood accents and cathedral ceiling, provides the perfect base for your countryside getaway.

Lovely property, a little further out of Daylesford, so lovely and quiet. Well appointed, no details missed. Good quality furnishings. Good quality heating for those winter evenings.

Close to Kyneton and Daylesford. Clean, comfortable, well furnished/set up. Some coffee would have been good, plenty of tea provided.
