Nearly everything about the place was outstanding. The breakfasts Mercy cooked for us were delicious each morning. The pool was wonderful and they had toys ready for our kids. Strong wifi for streaming on our phones. They even rented us a scooter which opened up options beyond the few restaurants by Santiago beach and allowed us to explore the island.
These ended up being minor issues for us but...
1. The TV added no value because there were only a few local news or shopping channels.
2. The beach accessible from the property was pretty nice but to get there you have to walk/wade through a hill of trash that has washed ashore. Not their fault but we only took our kids through that once then visited other clean beaches after that. Bukhaw beach was our favorite. I think if you are here not during July/August that it might be better?
These did not ruin the stay for us. Instead of watching TV, we played games including a few that were provided and instead of going down to the beach we spent more time in the great pool.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in het appartement met prachtig uitzicht over de zee. Het zwembad is ook fantastisch gelegen. Mercy is een super gastvrije host ter plaatse en was altijd goed benaderbaar. Het is wel noodzakelijk om eigen vervoer te hebben (scooters) om het eiland te verkennen en restaurantjes te kunnen bezoeken.
We hadden helaas veel last van mieren in het appartement, ik denk alleen niet dat ze hier echt iets tegen kunnen doen.

Everything was great – the accommodation, the host, and the location were all excellent. The only downside was that the beach below the property was unfortunately quite dirty. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.
