What I loved most were the views from the windows. Waking up and looking out at the beautiful Acer palmatum, the willow and the vines growing around the windows felt like looking at a Monet painting. In the mornings, all you could hear was birdsong, and one little robin even flew into my bedroom while the birds were feeding on the grapes outside! It was absolutely idyllic.
I also loved how peaceful the property was. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was perfect for me as I love cooking, the bed was incredibly comfortable with lovely soft sheets, and there was both a bath and a shower. I especially enjoyed sitting quietly in the orchard in the mornings, reading and meditating surrounded by nature. Sarah and Jim were wonderful, warm hosts, and their lovely Spanish dog made it feel even more welcoming.
