The hotel was well located in the old town of Brasov. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. The staff were friendly and allowed payment at check out rather than checking in making for an easy arrival.
The shower could do with soap/body wash as well as a soap holder.

The room feels familiar, there is a nice view to ARO hotel and it is silent despite being very close to the centre.
The breakfast is the usual continental hotel breakfast.
There are some nice drawings of the city around in the hotel.
Unfortunately, our departure experience was very disappointing. We asked reception to order a taxi because we did not know the local taxi companies. It was raining heavily, my mother has difficulty walking, and I am still not allowed to carry luggage normally after a wrist fracture. Since the hotel is in the pedestrian zone, I waited with our luggage near the barrier.
The taxi arrived without any clear identification, and the driver was unfriendly from the beginning. Although I explained that we needed the bus station, at Strada Gării 1, she insisted on following only the pin and said the application did not accept street numbers. Even when we were close and I asked her to turn right towards the bus station, she parked on the other side of the railway station. I then had to carry our two suitcases in several stages, one at a time, asking strangers to watch the other one.
The driver also did not help with the luggage and, when I paid cash, said she had no change, so the difference became an involuntary tip. Altogether, it was a very unpleasant experience, especially for travellers with reduced mobility.
The hotel itself is also not well adapted for people with mobility difficulties: there are several steps at the entrance and no ramp.
Brașov is often recommended for a city break, but compared with our visit two and a half years ago it has become surprisingly expensive, while basic services such as this taxi transfer were disappointing.
