This studio, with its separate lounge/kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom, also features two spacious walking wardrobes beside the bedroom, all of which are of excellent quality.
I appreciated that my additional requests for another duvet and pillows were happily accommodated, with no fuss at all. The access door is completely separate from the main house, creating a cozy feeling that’s almost like returning to your own little home.
The Wi-Fi was fantastic, and the facilities provided were as described. Deb is truly an outstanding host.
When I arrived late on my first night and couldn’t find anything to eat, she kindly appeared with a plate of fresh fruits, olives, and a welcoming bottle of beer. Plus, there was already a loaf of bread and a pint of milk waiting in the fridge.
There’s also a large water filter machine that offers fresh, filtered water at room temperature or cold, whenever you’d like it.
I could’ve kicked myself for not booking a longer stay as I had to leave for another property as the property was booked on the day that I was vacating.
Dep also owns a fish and chip shop in Caversham by the shopping Centre, it’s about a 10 minute stroll away from the house.
I was able to sample this food and was surprised when Dep said when staying at her property payment was reduced.
The shower, although quite spacious and able to comfortably fit a couple, was a bit frustrating due to the low water pressure and the unstable temperature.
It could take at least 30 minutes to enjoy a decent shower because the water kept needing to regulate itself.
There was no washing-up bowl, which could have easily sat on the other side of the shower cubicle, where another showerhead was located—perfect for washing plates and other items.
The annex is attached to the main house, with a door separating the property from the main house.
Since the property is self-contained, it would have been nice to have a lock on the side of the door where the visitor is staying for added privacy.

It was fairly central to area we wanted. Shower was good.
It was advertised as a B&B but no breakfast on offer other than stale cereal, coffee and tea. No sink or cooking facilities in kitchenette, no teatowel, no sponge. The water cooler bottle was left empty so we had to fill up from garden hose. You could hear the people in the house on other side of wall so didn't feel very private. A doona and fitted sheet only. The dining chairs were malting plastic on the floor. Very basic accomodation.
