The location is great as a starting point for the Trolltunga hike - private vans and city buses stop almost right in front of the hostel. The beds were comfortable. There was a shared bathroom inside the room just for the guests sleeping inside. Everything was clean; very good value for money.
There was an electricity issue in the kitchen early in the morning before we left for a hike so we couldn't prepare anything warm for breakfast. The previous night, everything had worked fine. It would also be helpful to mark the hostel spaces a bit more clearly, as we didn't know which floor should we go to at first. There is no front desk, but the cleaning staff were very helpful and directed us to our room. There could be one or two additional shared toilets in the hallway in case the ones in the dormitories are occupied.

Location, super clean
I am over 60, if at beginning I can get a downstairs bunker bed it would be great. During my 3 nights stay, there were empty downstairs bunks.

Trolltunga Hostel is a little outside of Odda town center, but the location is still excellent. It is easy to take the shuttle from here to Trolltunga, and it is also convenient to get into Odda.
The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. There are hiking trails nearby, and one of them offers an amazing view over the whole Odda fjord — really scenic and memorable.
The room was comfortable, and I liked that the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. There was also a shared kitchen for cooking, and everyone had their own space in the fridge for food. It was also nice to have the option to eat at the hostel restaurant.
The only small downsides were that there were quite a few bugs near my room, and the curtains did not block out all the light. But overall, it was still a very comfortable stay with beautiful views and a great location for hiking around Trolltunga.

Das Hostel ist optimal für eine Tour zur Trolltunga angebunden.
Das Personal ist nicht vor Ort, war aber am Telefon super hilfsbereit.
Die Matratzen und Kissen bieten keinen Widerstand, die Schließfächer funktionieren nicht, es ist nicht sauber und wird von den Gästen entsprechend nicht gut hinterlassen.
Ich hätte mir am Bett auch eine Ablage für meine Brille, Medikamente etc gewünscht.
Vielleicht lieber etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen, der Weg zur Trolltunga ist anstrengend.
