Walking in the area was lovely could have stayed a little longer. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious and modern.
Food was nothing special and a bit basic.

Convenient and clean large scale guesthouse. Nice rooms. Decent diner. Nice location next to a lush stream.
Not all staff members were friendly or welcoming. Breakfast was quite basic, compared to other guesthouses in Uzbekistan. Guesthouse is run in a professional, commercial manner; more hotel-like.
There are probably more authentic guesthouses nearby if you are looking for a real homestay experience.

De locatie is prachtig, veel groen aan riviertje. De oudste zoon kan goed engels. Berggevoel, je eet aan 1 tafel met andere gasten dat leuke gesprekken geeft.
Nauwelijks, als je beneden slaapt hoor je de vloer erg van de gasten boven.

Nice location near a river. Very helpful and friendly staff. Particularly Ruslan was extremely helpful and reliable with the organisation to/from the guesthouse, an excursion and even train tickets! You get a sense of local life rather than being just a guest e.g. we could watch them make bread for our dinner in the wooden oven.
The room was very clean.
We were on the groundfloor and unlucky that the guests on the floor above us were doing most of their hiking inside their room which is then quite noisy.
We found dinner at 10US$/pp rather expensive although we need to acknowledge that the quality&quantity was good and logistics for this remote place are not simple.
Nothing to do with the hotel at all but you need to be aware that hiking is only possible up to the petroglyphs. Beyond is a nature reserve starts and a ranger is actually preventing you to walk into it. Also they just „upgraded“ the hiking trail to become a dirt road (except for the last km) which we personally consider a set back rather than an improvement.
