A cosy Italian-style house. Downstairs there’s a large room, a bathroom, a dining room and a kitchen. There’s a table and sun loungers outside the house. Upstairs there are two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. Clean and tidy. The landlady was very helpful, and there was some Prosecco waiting for us in the fridge as a welcome :-) The property itself is about a 15- to 20-minute walk from the centre of Bellagio. Bear in mind that we’re in mountainous terrain, so if you’re looking for flat paths, you’ve chosen the wrong destination ;-) The walk to the centre is short but involves steps and winding paths, so it’s worth bringing comfortable shoes ;-) A note for those travelling by car: the roads around Lake Como are narrow and winding, whilst the driveway to the property is veeeery narrow. Only a tiny car will fit: we had a Fiat 600 and even then it was tricky in places. However, for those travelling in a larger car, there’s a tiny public car park 100 metres from the property. A smaller car can be parked in front of the house. Towels, a hairdryer and soap are provided for guests at the property. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, olive oil and spices.

Home like feeling, has almost everything one would need. The host was very polite and helpful. And communicated very well.
The access is tricky for the cars, but manageable, if it’s not an SUV. The walk back to Villa from the Bellagio is uphill (the nature of the whole place); was a good exercise for me but can be difficult for some.
