It’s like its own little oasis. The grounds look beautiful. The staff is so accommodating and kind. The breakfast is the tastiest I had in Zanzibar and looks stunning. I wish the weather during our stay allowed us to use the facilities more like the gym equipment and yoga equipment outside, it was a nice touch. They even prepared me coffee before breakfast and it was brought to the hammock for me so I could read my book! The dog beauty is a cutie and makes the stay feel a little bit more like home. Short 5 min walk to the beach. Masai present at night for security◡̈
The power cuts were frequent which is not the property’s fault, but the rooms are a bit like a concrete box when the fan is not working. Generator doesn’t run all the time and when it does it’s super loud. Nevertheless it’s something you should be prepared for when coming to Zanzibar and it didn’t ruin our stay.

Un’oasi di paradiso e relax nel nostro giro di Zanzibar
Durante il nostro giro dell’isola di Zanzibar, abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare al Kendwa Bungalows & Breeze per 3 notti. È stata un'esperienza perfetta sotto ogni punto di vista!
La struttura è una vera oasi di pace e relax. Essendo un hotel intimo e raccolto, c'è sempre un'atmosfera silenziosa e rigenerante. L'attenzione ai dettagli e al cliente è straordinaria: il personale è fantastico, gentilissimo, sempre presente e pronto ad aiutarti per qualsiasi cosa. Un ringraziamento speciale alla proprietaria per la sua meravigliosa accoglienza: ti fa sentire subito a casa e vi farà vivere il soggiorno con una tranquillità assoluta.
La colazione è da 10 e lode: ampissima scelta e una bontà unica (il succo al passion fruit è semplicemente spaziale!).
Il posto è splendido e la piscina è bellissima. Anche se noi siamo stati molto al mare e l'abbiamo sfruttata poco, è un vero gioiello. Molto apprezzata anche la disponibilità al check-out: ci hanno tenuto i bagagli permettendoci di godere dell'ultima giornata di mare prima di ripartire. Un cenno di merito a Saiko, uno dei ragazzi Masai: simpaticissimo, ci ha fatto fare delle risate bellissime!
Prima di arrivare avevamo letto qualche recensione sul tragitto a piedi per raggiungere la spiaggia (circa 5-10 minuti), con timori sul fatto che potesse essere buio o poco agevole. In realtà per noi non è stato affatto un problema: il percorso è una strada dritta facilissima da seguire e la zona, pur essendo tranquilla e non caotica, è frequentata da persone serene e ci siamo sempre sentiti al sicuro, anche la sera tardi. Ci sono sempre taxi e tuk-tuk di passaggio se servono, ma la passeggiata è così vicina e comoda che non abbiamo mai avuto bisogno di prenderli!
Un piccolo dettaglio pratico: nella zona di Kendwa e Nungwi può capitare che salti la corrente, ma la struttura ha un generatore e si vive benissimo lo stesso.

Everything, and the staff makes the difference
For us, this wasn’t a major issue, but it’s worth noting that the beach is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which may be a consideration for some guests.
